Homicide investigators have been called to a rural area of Langley where two people were found dead Monday.

Homicide investigators have been called to Langley after two people were found dead in a rural area Monday morning.

Mounties say they responded to a report of a “suspicious incident” in the 21000 block of 16 Avenue around 11:15 a.m.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were sent to the area and found two bodies.

“While this investigation is in its infancy, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in,” Langley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Zynal Sharoom said, in a statement.

The scene has been cordoned off and police warned drivers of traffic disruptions in the immediate area.
