Electric tricycle stolen from child with special needs, Ridge Meadows RCMP say

Mounties in Maple Ridge are asking for the public’s help to return an electric tricycle they say was stolen from a child with special needs earlier this week.

The Ridge Meadows RCMP says a resident flagged down officers outside a store in the 11800 block of 224 Street around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

“Officers learned that an electronic mobility bike was stolen off a bike rack in the northwest corner outside the store at around 1 p.m.,” the detachment wrote in a statement. “The bike belongs to the child who requires the bike to get around.”

The vehicle is described as a black Volt Trio Trike with a car seat on the back.
