The holidays should be a little brighter for two lottery players who purchased Lotto 6/49 tickets for the Christmas Eve draw in B.C. There were 15 guaranteed prizes of $100,000 each drawn Wednesday night, with the majority of winning tickets sold in Ontario and Quebec. But two of the lucky tickets were purchased in Langley and Prince George, according to the B.C. Lottery Corporation’s PlayNow website. The odds of winning a guaranteed prize draw depend on the number of Lotto 6/49 tickets sold, while the odds of winning the classic $5 million jackpot are approximately one in 14 million, according to the BCLC. No one took home the main prize on Dec. 24.
