Suspect oustanding after 1 person stabbed in downtown Toronto

A suspect is outstanding after a female was stabbed in downtown Toronto on Sunday evening.

Toronto police say just after 6:20 p.m. they were called to the area of Church and Carlton streets for reports of a female who had been stabbed near Yonge and Dundas streets.

There, officers found a victim with a stab wound.

She was transported to the hospital via trauma run, they said.

Police later said the stabbing did not occur at Yonge and Dundas streets. They indicated that it actually happened at Gould and Church streets.

Paramedics said they transported an adult to a trauma centre with serious, potentially life-threatening.

In a follow-up post on X, police said a female who was stabbed has non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspect information has been released at this time.
