The price of both gas and diesel fell Sunday in New Brunswick, following an increase Saturday. New Brunswick The price of regular self-serve gasoline decreased by 6.9 cents to a new maximum of 183.9 cents per litre Sunday. This follows a 10-cent increase on Saturday. The price of diesel dropped by 10.3 cents to a maximum of 214.7 cents per litre. There was no change in the price of diesel Saturday in New Brunswick. The price of gas and diesel has not changed since Friday for both Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Federal fuel excise tax Fuel prices are expected to fall across the Maritimes Monday. Ottawa is set to suspend its federal fuel excise tax until Sept. 7. The fuel tax cut is expected to drop the price of gas by 10 cents, with diesel expected to go down by four cents.
