Toronto man charged after allegedly making online threats against Muslim and trans communities

A 30-year-old man has been charged after allegedly making death threats online against members of the trans and Muslim communities.

Toronto police allege the man posted the threats between Sept. 29 and Oct. 10.

In addition, he also allegedly made online threats to kill a victim on Sept. 30.

Investigators identified the suspect and on Sunday, searched his home after obtaining a warrant.

The suspect, Abraham Lincoln Neranjan, was arrested as a result. He has been charged with public incitement of hatred and three counts of uttering threats.
