Suspect wanted after security guards shot at Mississauga nightclub

Two security guards were shot by a suspect at a Mississauga nightclub on Sunday.

Peel Regional Police are searching for a suspect after a nightclub shooting that sent two to hospital in Mississauga on Sunday.

The incident occurred just before 2:15 a.m. at Sugar Daddy’s, which is located at Dixie Road and Aimco Boulevard.

Both victims were working as security guards for the club, Cst. Mark Fischer said.

There was a confrontation between security and the suspect, Fischer said, and then the suspect pulled out a gun.

One shot was fired that struck both security guards, Fischer said.

No other injuries were reported.

A revised suspect description was released later Sunday. The suspect is now described as being a male in his 20s who was wearing jeans and a dark-coloured long-sleeved button down shirt.

Police are reviewing the club’s video surveillance footage as part of the investigation.
