Pedestrian struck in hit-and-run in Toronto’s west end: police

Toronto police say they are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle late Saturday night.

Officers say they responded just after 9:30 p.m. for reports of a collision in the area of Norman Avenue and Caledonia Road, just north of St. Clair Avenue West.

Police say the driver fled the scene in a black SUV.

In an email to CP24, officials identified the victim as a youth and say they sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, northbound Norman Avenue is closed at Caledonia Road while police continue canvas the area.
