Pedestrian rushed to hospital after being hit by SUV in The Danforth

A pedestrian is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle near Pape and Danforth Ave. last night.

A pedestrian was critically injured when they were struck by an SUV on the city’s east end on Tuesday night, police said.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Pape and Lipton Avenues, north of Danforth Avenue, around 8:22 p.m.

Police said the pedestrian was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver initially left the scene but hours later, they returned, police said.
