Carbon monoxide exposure at Etobicoke home sends 1 person to hospital

A carbon monoxide leak at an Etobicoke home has sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.

Emergency crews were called to the residence near Kipling and Finch avenues just before 2 a.m.

Toronto Fire Services told CP24 that they detected elevated levels of the toxic gas when they arrived at the home.

One adult was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two others were assessed at the scene but were not transported.

Crews remain at the scene. The cause of the leak is unclear at this time.
