The price of gas increased overnight for two Maritime provinces. Nova Scotia The Nova Scotia Energy Board said it will use the interrupter mechanism to adjust the price of all grades of gasoline and diesel oil at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday. The price of regular self-serve gasoline in the Halifax area increased by 6.6 cents to a new minimum of 184.3 cents per litre. This follows a 10.5 cent increase Friday. The price of diesel increased by 6.4 cents. The minimum is 213.0 cents per litre. The new minimum price of regular self-serve gasoline in Cape Breton is 186.3 cents per litre. The minimum price of diesel is now 214.9 cents per litre. New Brunswick The price of regular self-serve gasoline increased by 4.8 cents. The new maximum price is 183.5 cents per litre. This follows a 6.3 cent increase Friday. The price of diesel increased overnight by 4.4 cents. The new maximum prices is 221.3 cents per litre. Prince Edward Island The price of gas did not change Saturday for P.E.I. The minimum price of regular self-serve gasoline remains at 179.3 cents per litre. The price of diesel is 217.2 cents per litre.
