A fire broke out at a city-owned storage building in Scarborough late Saturday night. In an email to CP24, Toronto Fire said their crews responded to the area of Kingston and Markham Roads just before 11 p.m. for reports of a structure fire at the Cornell Campbell House. When firefighters arrived, they say they were met with heavy smoke and confirmed a storage building was on fire. The blaze was quickly extinguished and did not spread to other structures, officials noted. There were no occupants inside the building and no injuries were reported. Meanwhile, Toronto police said the exact structure that caught fire was unclear, noting it may have been a gazebo or barn. They also say that no one was at the scene when first responders arrived. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
