Saskatoon police treating discovery of body off Highway 7 as homicide

WATCH: Police are working to determine if there was foul play involved after human remains were uncovered west of Saskatoon on Wednesday.

Saskatoon police are investigating the discovery of human remains west of the city as a homicide.

The remains were discovered off Highway 7 west of Saskatoon on Wednesday, with forensic investigators examining the scene alongside a provincial coroner.

Now, police say the remains have been identified as 31-year-old Chad Romanski.

In a news release Monday, police said after a forensic examination, they’re treating his death as a homicide.

Anyone with relevant information about Romanski, a Saskatoon man, is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
