Saskatchewan RCMP have charged a man from Onion Lake following an investigation in Edmonton. On Aug. 12, the RCMP’s Trafficking Response Team (STRT) from Lloydminster was working on an investigation in Edmonton when they noticed two men with a gun in a parking lot on 103 Street Northwest. Edmonton police were notified and helped with the arrests. Officers found an imitation firearm, 5.2 grams of fentanyl, 3.7 grams of methamphetamine, cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia during the arrest. The man from Onion Lake faces a number of charges related to drug trafficking and weapon possession. A female suspect was also arrested but released without charge. The man is scheduled to appear in Edmonton Provincial Court on Thursday. Lloydminster STRT continues to investigate.
