OC Transpo

• OC Transpo will operate buses and O-Train service on a Sunday schedule on Labour Day.
• O-Train Line 1 will run from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• O-Train Lines 2 and 4 will run from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
• Rural Shopper Route 301 will not run.

Para Transpo

OC Transpo says regular bookings and recurring trips for Para Transpo will be automatically cancelled on Sept. 7.

Customers can book trips for Labour Day by calling 613-560-5000 or using My Para Transpo.

Green bin, recycling and garbage collection

• There will be no curbside green bin, recycling, garbage or bulky item collection on Monday. Pick up will take place on Tuesday, and collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
• Multi-residential garbage containers and bulky items will be collected on the regular scheduled day.
• The Trail Waste Facility Landfill will be open on Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Client Service Centres

• Ottawa’s 3-1-1 Contact Centre will be open for urgent matters only.
• ServiceOttawa’s Client Services counters and phone lines will be closed on Monday. Counters are located at Ottawa City Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West), Ben Franklin Place (101 Centrepointe Drive), and Orléans (255 Centrum Boulevard).
• The Provincial Court and Administrative Penalty System Hearing area located at Mary Pitt Centre (100 Constellation Drive) will be closed.
• The Business Licensing Centre at 735 Industrial Avenue will be closed on Monday.

City of Ottawa facilities

• Some recreation complexes and stand-alone indoor pools will be open and operating on a modified schedule on Monday.
• Splash pads will be open, weather permitting
• Ottawa Public Library branches will be closed on Labour Day
• City-operated museums, galleries, Ben Franklin Place and Shenkman Arts Centre will be closed on Monday
• The City of Ottawa Spay and Neuter Clinic at 26 Concourse Gate will be closed.
• The City of Ottawa Archives at the James Bartleman Centre will be closed from Saturday to Monday.
• The Site mobile van will operate from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
• The Sexual Health Clinic and satellite clinics will be closed on Monday
• The harm reduction drop-in at 179 Clarence Street will be closed.
• Ottawa Public Health Dental clinics will be closed
• All municipal childcare centres will be closed on Monday

Shopping Centres

• Rideau Centre will be open on Labour Day between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Tanger Outlets will be open on Monday
• Businesses in the ByWard Market and the Glebe are permitted to be open on Labour Day
• Bayshore Shopping Centre, Billings Bridge Shopping Centre, Carlingwood Shopping Centre, St. Laurent Centre and Place d’Orleans will be closed on Labour Day.

Grocery Stores

The following grocery stores will be open on Labour Day:

• Farm Boy at Rideau Centre (open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
• Loblaws on Isabella Street
• Loblaws on Rideau Street
• Metro Glebe on Bank Street (open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
• Metro Rideau (open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
• Whole Foods Lansdowne (open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

All other grocery stores will be closed on Monday.

Beer Stores/LCBO

The following Beer Store locations will be open on Labour Day:

• 499 Terry Fox Dr.
• 3500 Fallowfield Rd.
• 2276 Tenth Line Rd.
• 1860 Bank St.
• 1984 Baseline Dr.
• 548 Montreal Rd.
• 515 Somerset St. W.

LCBO locations will be closed on Monday.

Service Canada/Passport Office

• Service Canada Centre and Passport Services offices in Ottawa and Gatineau will be closed on Monday due to the holiday.

Canada Post

• There will be no Canada Post delivery on Monday, and all Canada Post offices will be closed.
• Post offices operated by the private sector may be open according to the hours of service of the host business.

Museums

• Canadian Museum of Nature open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Canada Agriculture and Food Museum open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Canada Science and Technology Museum open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Canada Aviation and Space Museum open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Canadian War Museum open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Canadian Museum of History open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• National Gallery of Canada open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• The Diefenbunker open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Bytown Museum will be open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
• Ottawa Art Gallery is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The gallery is closed on Monday.
