A man working at a convenience store in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood was hospitalized after a shooting on Sunday morning. There was a heavy police presence at the store on Main Street and East 16th Avenue, where a witness confirmed to CTV News that a male employee was the victim of a shooting. Photos taken at the scene show a Vancouver Police Department forensics team analyzing the taped-off H&Z Market. The VPD said officers were called to the store at 7:13 a.m. for what they described as a “weapons call.” Police confirmed a man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspect, or suspects, involved remain at large. Const. Darren Wong said the VPD’s investigation is still in its early stages.
