RCMP on scene of serious collision on Highway 4

Battlefords RCMP are on the scene of a serious collision on highway 4, about eight kilometres south of North Battleford.

RCMP were called to the collision in the early morning hours. A news release issued shortly after 4 a.m. says traffic is reduced to one lane.

RCMP do not have further details, as the investigation is in preliminary stages.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible. Delays are expected in the area.
