A 62-year-old man from North Battleford is dead after a motorcycle collision near Battleford. Battlefords RCMP say officers were called to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 40 at about 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Police determined the crash involved two motorcycles. EMS and local firefighters responded to the scene. Police say one rider was pronounced dead while being transported to hospital. He has been identified as a 62-year-old North Battleford man. His family has been notified. The second rider was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Police say neither motorcyclist had a passenger. RCMP say they continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
