12-year-old cyclist taken to hospital after crash with vehicle in Saskatoon

A 12-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a vehicle Saturday afternoon.

Saskatoon police say the crash happened around 5:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Manek Road.

As of 6:50 p.m., officers were on the scene, and a Saskatoon police collision analyst unit was investigating.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and follow directions from officers.

Police say updates will be provided when more information becomes available.
