Grandma Sherry, known for her wholesome cooking videos on TikTok, now has her own show on APTN. The grandmother from Yorkton, Sask. has acquired quite the following through her videos, where she teaches viewers Indigenous recipes while reconnecting with her native language, Dakota. Her program on APTN will feature Sherry primarily speaking Dakoda, breaking from her TikTok channel – which features English-centric content. “Grandma Sherry’s Kitchen marks another important milestone in the broadcaster’s language commitment: creating original content in Indigenous languages,” the network said in the announcement.
