A 31-year-old man from the Sault has been charged with almost two dozen offences, including 11 counts of committing an indecent act. An investigation by Sault police found that between April 4 and Sept. 28 of this year, the suspect “repeatedly engaged in indecent acts, including exposing and touching their genitals in public places or otherwise caused disturbances at six different businesses,” police said in a news release Oct. 7. Warrants were issued for his arrest and he was taken into custody Oct. 6 and charged with 12 counts of mischief, 11 counts of engaging in an indecent act in a public place and other offences. “During their arrest, the accused punched an officer and attempted to run away,” police said. “No physical injuries were reported.” Other charges include five counts of following, communicating with and threatening conduct toward a victim, 13 counts of violating probation, uttering death threats, assaulting police and obstructing police. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
