The Regina Police Service is alerting the public of scenario training taking place at Campbell Collegiate Tuesday. Between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., members of the School Resource Officer Unit (SRO) will take part in several exercises at the high school. According to an advisory, this is part of regularly scheduled training for the SRO Unit. “Members of the public can expect to see School Resource Officers, Patrol Officers and associated vehicles in the 100 block of Massey Road through the day,” the advisory read. “The public is not involved in the training, nor will the public be at risk from the training.” According to police, training activities will only take place at the school and won’t cover the whole neighbourhood. “Regular training allows officers to be prepared in the case of an actual emergency. We thank our partners with both school divisions for their ongoing assistance in our efforts to keep students and staff safe,” read the advisory. Those with questions or concerns about the exercise are encouraged to contact Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500.
