Members of the congregation at All Saints’ Cathedral in downtown Edmonton say they are shocked after some of the letters making up the church’s sign were stolen from the building. Congregants discovered the theft when they arrived for the service on Sunday morning. The letters are positioned about 12 feet up from the ground, and are spotlighted by several lights. “All Saints’ Cathedral deeply loves our community and place in the downtown core but the audacity of this act of vandalism, which would have taken time and planning and was in full view from the street, is frustrating,” Rev. Alexandra Meek wrote in an email to CTV News Edmonton. Meek says the theft has been reported to the Edmonton Police Service. Valour Place, a charity organization that provides accommodations for military and first responders traveling to Edmonton for medical care, experienced a similar theft over the weekend.
