Peavey Mart locations in Saskatchewan get opening dates

Peavey Mart plans to open locations in Yorkton and Assiniboia by March, with hiring already underway.

Peavey Mart’s return to Saskatchewan officially has an opening date.

The farm and ranch supply chain says its Assiniboia and Yorkton locations are set to reopen on March 1, 2026. Hiring is already underway.

The company’s initial relaunch included four Alberta stores in Spruce Grove, Westlock, Camrose and Lacombe. Phase two will bring back its Red Deer location, along with the two Saskatchewan stores.

“The initial store opening plan included an eventual reopening of stores in Saskatchewan,” Meagan Parisian, Peavey Mart’s leader of marketing and ecommerce said in the update.

“The locations that were chosen by the ownership group are reflective of a number of factors these communities hold, including the strength of the stores in these communities, an ease of access to the previously held storefronts, as well as how quickly we could expedite hiring and launch operations in the locations chosen.”

No further reopening timelines have been announced beyond the seven stores.

Peavey Mart says it is continuing to distribute merchandise to stores, with a focus on locally sourced products. Weekly deliveries are ongoing, and new and seasonal items will arrive regularly.

The chain entered creditor protection in 2025 resulting in the closure of all 90 of its locations across the country, including 13 stores in Saskatchewan.

An investment group acquired the Peavey Mart name in April, announcing plans in August to relaunch in several former markets.

The original Peavey Mart opened in 1967.
