Moose Jaw court renovations priced at $460K now complete

The Government of Saskatchewan has said the nearly $500,000 in renovation of Moose Jaw’s courthouse is now complete.

The new main floor courtroom now houses traffic safety and drug treatment court services.

Moose Jaw transitioned to a stand-alone traffic safety court in February 2023 and had been held in a temporary space in the basement court of the W.G. Davies Building since then.

Drug treatment courts were first introduced in 2006 in Moose Jaw and Regina. They are one of three models of therapeutic court in the province, including domestic violence courts in Regina, Saskatoon and the Battlefords, and mental health courts in Regina and Saskatoon.

The two-and-a-half-year project cost taxpayers approximately $460,000. The first sitting of the traffic safety court in its new space was held on Nov. 4, 2025.
