A hot and rainy weekend will kick off a stretch of near-30 C weather in the capital. According to Environment Canada’s weather forecast, Ottawa residents can expect temperatures reaching 27 C on Saturday. There will be a 30 per cent chance of showers, as well as a risk of thunderstorms, beginning in the afternoon. The showers are expected to clear overnight, and the temperature will reach a low of 14 C. On Sunday, expect 28 C and a chance of showers. Monday’s forecast predicts a mix of sun and cloud and 29 C. On Tuesday, the temperature will reach 30 C. The 30 C-or-higher weather is expected to continue from Tuesday until at least Friday.
