Temperature to hit 20 C today, but rain on the way for Ottawa

The temperature will hit 20 C for the second consecutive day today, but cooler than normal temperatures are expected the rest of the week.

It warmed up to 21.3 C on Monday.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers this morning and early this afternoon. Showers will begin this afternoon and there is the risk of a thunderstorm. High 20 C.

Showers continuing tonight. Low 5 C.

Wednesday will see showers end near noon then mainly cloudy. High 11 C.

Thursday will be sunny. High 14 C.

The outlook for Friday calls for a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 12 C.

Saturday will have a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 14 C.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of 17 C and a low of 6 C.
