A vehicle that was reported stolen from the Perth area was found speeding on Highway 401 in eastern Ontario in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Police say the vehicle was caught on the highway shortly after 1 a.m. They did not specify how fast it was going. “A check of the licence plate revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Perth area the previous day,” the OPP said in a post on X. The vehicle safely stopped after exiting the highway, according to police. That was when police charged a 20-year-old man from Oshawa with trafficking stolen property, possession of break-in tools and driving without a licence.
