A single-vehicle collision has left one dead, and another person injured near the Alexandra Bridge in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to Gatineau police. Police say they received a call at 3 a.m. reporting a collision on Rue Laurier, near Boulevard des Allumetières, in the sector of Hull. When crews arrived at the scene, they found two people inside the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to hospital in non-life-threatening condition, police add. Police will not provide information about the victim. The investigation into what led to the crash is ongoing.
