Rihanna has caused a stir in the capital by posing on a piano with a vintage Ottawa Senators hockey jersey.

Rihanna posted the photo on her own Twitter account today.

One of world's biggest musical superstar also wore the jersey as a dress to a Los Angeles nightclub last night.

The Ottawa Senators gleefully retweeted Rihanna's Instagram photo today.

The hockey club is trying to find out what number is on the back of her jersey.

And players on the team are apparently boasting that Rihanna has picked their jersey.

Rihanna will be in Ottawa May 2 at Scotiabank Place as part of her Diamonds tour.
