Ottawa police seek break-and-enter suspect believed to be linked to organized crime

The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a series of recent break-ins that investigators believe are linked to organized crime.

According to police, the incidents have happened at all hours of the day.

At least nine homes, primarily in the east end of the city, have been affected. The thieves enter through the front door and steal money and jewelry. No one has been reported hurt.

Police say, so far, only homes are being targeted.

“Investigators are urging residents to be vigilant, and to report any suspicious activity or if the vehicle or suspects are seen. If you witness a crime in progress, call 9-1-1,” Ottawa police said in a news release.
