O-Train Line 1 service to begin at noon Sunday

O-Train Line 1 service will be starting at noon on Sunday for planned testing and software updates for the line’s eastern extension.

OC Transpo says R1 bus service will run between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair stations from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Shuttle buses will run between St. Laurent and Cyrville stations, and between Lees Station and the Mackenzie King Bridge.

Riders are encouraged to use the Transit app or OC Transpo’s website for travel assistance.

“OC Transpo thanks customers for their ongoing patience as preparation continues for the launch of the O-Train Line 1 East Extension,” OC Transpo said in a memo to city council on Monday.

Officials said as recently as last month that the eastern extension is on track to launch passenger service some time between April and June.
