More flurries expected in Ottawa, but some warmer days are on the way

It will be another blustery spring day in Ottawa, as flurries are expected to continue through Saturday, but a short stretch of warmer days is on the horizon.

According to Environment Canada’s weather forecast, there will be a 70 per cent chance of flurries in Ottawa throughout Saturday, with wind gusting up to 50 kilometres per hour.

The temperature will reach a high of -1 C by the early evening, but the wind chill will make it feel like -7. The overnight low is -5 C with a windchill of -9.

While Sunday’s forecast predicts a 70 per cent chance of flurries in the morning, the temperature will jump into the positives and reach a high of 7 C.

On Monday, expect Ottawa to heat up even further and reach a high of 15 C. Residents should also expect periods of rain.

Tuesday, prepare for a high of 3 C with periods of rain or freezing rain.
