Hwy. 7 reopens near Perth after collision involving propane truck

Highway 7 near Perth, Ont. reopened late Saturday night, after having been closed by police following a two-vehicle crash between a propane truck and a passenger vehicle.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) posted to X at 2:34 p.m. advising drivers to avoid the area after a “multi-vehicle” collision.

In an update at 6:50 p.m., an OPP spokesperson said two people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A tow truck is on site to remove the damaged vehicle and clear the roadway “as soon as possible,” OPP said in an email.

At 10:17 p.m. on Saturday, OPP announced that the highway had been reopened.
