Here’s when the Ottawa Charge will host playoff games at the Canadian Tire Centre

The Ottawa Charge will be returning to the Canadian Tire Centre next week for their playoff matchup against Boston.

The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) team clinched the final spot in the Walter Cup Playoffs last Saturday, with a 3-0 win over the Toronto Scepters in the regular season finisher.

The Charge are facing the Boston Fleet, with the first two games in Lowell, Mass. on Thursday and Saturday.

The first home game of the best-of-five series is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 8 at the Canadian Tire Centre, with a 7 p.m. puck drop. If necessary, Game 4 will be held at the CTC starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 10.

The time and date for Game 5, if required, has yet to be determined. It will take place in Massachusetts.

The Charge have played their first three seasons as a team at TD Place Arena, but announced last week, upon clinching a playoff berth, that home games would be played at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, home of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.

On April 3, the Charge set a new attendance record with 17,114 fans in attendance for a game at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Ottawa Senators president Cyril Leeder told TSN there have been discussions with the PWHL about the Charge playing more games at the NHL arena.

The Charge made it to the Walter Cup final in 2025, but lost to the Minnesota Frost in four games.
