Fuel leaks on Ottawa road after fuel truck rolls over

Firefighters cleaned up a fuel leak after a tanker trucked rolled over on a road in Ottawa’s east end.

Emergency crews responded to the incident at the intersection of Russell Road and Ramsayville Road at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A photo released by the Ottawa Fire Services showed the fuel truck on its side, blocking both lanes of the two-lane road.

Ottawa Fire Services Public Information Officer Nick DeFazio said the hazardous materials team was on the scene to deal with leaking fuel.

An Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson said one person was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
