1 dead, 3 injured in two-vehicle crash in Ottawa’s south end

One person died and three others were injured after a serious two-vehicle crash in Ottawa’s south end Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Slack Road south of Hunt Club Road at approximately 5:20 p.m.

Ottawa police said one person suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. In an update, a paramedics spokesperson told CTV News that one adult was pronounced dead at the scene.

Their age and gender was not released.

A man in the same car suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital in stable condition.

A man and a woman in the other car sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to hospital by ambulance in stable condition.

Police say road closures are in effect between West Hunt Club Road and Fallowfield Road. Slack Road is closed between Woodroffe Avenue and Vaan Drive.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.
