A woman in her 50s died and three others were injured after a serious two-vehicle crash in Ottawa’s south end Tuesday afternoon. The crash happened at the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Slack Road south of Hunt Club Road at approximately 5:20 p.m. Ottawa police said one person suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. In an update, a paramedics spokesperson told CTV News a woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A man in the same car suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital in stable condition. A man and a woman in the other car sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to hospital by ambulance in stable condition. Woodroffe Avenue and Slack Road were closed for several hours while police investigated. Police say investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of the incident.
