Flo Rida to perform at the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival in August

Flo Rida is coming to Gatineau this summer.

Organizers announced the American rapper will perform at the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival on August 28.

Flo Rida has sold more than 100 singles worldwide. The Miami native’s hits include Right Round, Club Can’t Handle Me, Wild Ones, My House and he performed Low with T-Pain.

Sarahmée and DJ Danick Bastien will also perform on August 28 at the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival, which runs from August 27 to August 31 at La Baie Park.

The headliners of the festival include Flo Rida, Ottawa’s TALK on August 29 and Grammy-winning artist Alessia Cara on Aug. 31.

Other musical performers include Roxane Bruneau, Eric Lapointe, Jay Scott, Marie Mai, William Cloutier, Rainbow, Mia Kelly, Justin Legacy, Veronique Labbe, and Maple Whiskey.

“In addition to the evening concerts, festival pass holders can enjoy the spectacular evening hot air balloons launches, taking place around 6:30 p.m., from Wednesday to Sunday - weather permitting,” organizers said in a statement on April 15.

“As night falls, don’t miss the magical night glow, where balloons light up the park in a dazzling display, followed by the Michel Quesnel, Pharmacist Fireworks show at around 10:30 p.m. each night. The Beauce Carnaval Amusement Park will also be on site, offering fun for all ages.”

There will also be a morning hot air balloon launch at approximately 6:30 a.m. Thursday through Sunday.
