Fewer U.S. travellers pass through Ottawa Airport so far this year

Fewer travellers continue to fly into and out of Ottawa to the United States this year.

Statistics available on the Ottawa International Airport website show 141,604 passengers travelled through the Ottawa International Airport on flights to and from the United States in January and February, down from 152,145 travellers during the same two months in 2025.

The Ottawa International Airport reported 69,481 travellers on Transborder flights in January and 72,123 U.S. travellers in February.

A total of 808,000 passengers travelled through the Ottawa International Airport on flights within Canada, to the United States and internationally in January and February, up from 758,030 passengers during the first two months of 2025.

The Ottawa International Airport saw an increase in passengers flying to Europe and other international destinations outside the U.S., as airlines added flights out of Ottawa.

There were 89,761 international passengers in January and 78,373 passengers in February, up from 65,445 international travellers in January 2025 and 60,962 passengers in February last year.
