A Crysler resident is $1 million richer after hitting the winning numbers on a lottery ticket. According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, 63-year-old Suzanne Cayer matched all seven Encore number on her Lotto 6/49 ticket to win the prize in the Sept. 10 draw. “This is incredible,” Cayer said in a statement. “When I found out I had won $1 million, tears ran down my face. I’m just so happy and grateful, and my family is thrilled for me.” Cayer is a married mother of two and grandmother of three. She says she hopes to use her winnings to help pay off her son’s mortgage and treat herself to something special. “I can’t wait to go shopping,” Cayer said. “I plan to live life and fully enjoy it!” Cayer says she was half asleep when she began checking her ticket. “As soon as I saw the big win, I instantly became wide awake,” she said. “I was stunned! I changed my clothes and ran to the closest store to double-check my ticket.” Her winning ticket was purchased at Giant Tiger on Racine Street in Casselman, approximately 55 kilometres southeast of downtown Ottawa.
