A six-year-old boy has died from his injuries after a collision involving two vehicles and an ambulance near Smiths Falls, Ont. Ontario Provincial Police continue to investigate a fatal collision on Highway 15 near Otter Lake Park at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday. The collision occurred between County Road 1 and County Road 5 in Lombardy. Police say emergency crews responded to a report of a head-on collision involving two cars and an ambulance. The ambulance was returning to base and had no patients onboard. A 34-year-old man from Elizabethtown-Kitley was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said on Tuesday that a boy in the same vehicle who was transported to hospital by Ornge air ambulance after the crash has died from his injuries. The paramedics in the ambulance were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver in the third vehicle was treated for minor injuries. Police are looking to speak with anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident.
