Ontario Provincial Police say two men are facing charges following a fight in Carleton Place. Police say two men got into a fight on Bridge Street near College Street at around 1 a.m. on July 24. A 48-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and failure to comply with probation as a result. On Tuesday, police said additional investigation led to police charging the other person involved in the fight. “Officers continued the investigation after receiving additional information regarding the events leading up to the altercation, including the review of video footage,” the OPP said. The 39-year-old Carleton Place man is facing an assault charge and is due in court next month.
