Police investigate isolated shooting in Barrie’s south end Sunday night

Now police are trying to piece together who's responsible.

There were no injuries following a shooting that’s believed to be an isolated incident in Barrie’s south end late Sunday night.

Police say they received a report of multiple shots fired at a residence on Carley Crescent around 11:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found two vehicles in the driveway that police say had been struck by gunfire.

Through investigation, authorities discovered multiple people were inside the residence, but fortunately, there were no injuries.

According to witness reports, a vehicle was driving very fast in the area at the time of the gunshots. The vehicle was last seen leaving Carley Crescent and travelling eastbound on Esther Drive.

Police say there is no risk to public safety. Investigators were in the area Monday morning while officers collected further evidence.
