Windsor police say two people have been arrested and more than $15,000 in drugs seized following a trafficking investigation. Police say an investigation into suspected illegal drug trafficking began earlier this month. On April 15, officers arrested two suspects at a residence in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. Police say officers seized 16 hydromorphone tablets and $400 in Canadian currency while searching one of the suspects. With the assistance of K9 Officer Smoke, officers executed another search warrant and seized about 110 grams of fentanyl, 10.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 442 hydromorphone tablets, 56 oxycodone tablets and eight bottles of liquid methadone. Police also seized $5,900 in Canadian currency, $655 in U.S. currency, two digital scales and packaging materials. A 55‑year‑old has been charged with seven counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and two counts of operating a motor vehicle while disqualified. A 43‑year‑old has been charged with six counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of failing to comply with a release order.
