Trio arrested in Thunder Bay, charged with drug and weapons offences

Police in Thunder Bay have seized drugs worth an estimated $94,000, along with a cache of guns and ammunition and about $10,000 in cash.

As a result, two men and a woman from the city have been charged with dozens of related offences.

The investigation began in early 2026 following reports of drug trafficking in the city. It culminated in a raid of a home on Limbrick Street and a property in the Rosslyn Road area Sept. 2.

Those searches yielded 180 grams of fentanyl, 170 grams of crack, 632 Clonazepam pills and 31 Hydromorphone pills.

Police also found $10,000 in cash, a loaded Glock 9mm with an extended magazine, 223 rounds of 9mm ammo, a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, a Ruger .22 Cal semi-automatic with a box of rounds, an SKS Type 56 rifle, a .45 calibre revolver, two bags of 9mm rounds and a box of 380 rounds.

“The street value for the seized controlled substances is estimated to be over $94,000,” police said.

Three individuals were arrested during the execution of the Limbrick Street area search warrant.

Charged are a 38-year-old woman and two men, ages 36 and 27, all from Thunder Bay. They face dozens of drug trafficking, weapons and possession of property obtained by crime charges.

The 36-year-old man is also charged with resisting arrest and the 27-year-old with failure to comply with a release order.

All of the accused were remanded into custody following their first court appearance.
