Thunder Bay police investigate pedestrian-involved collision with city bus

The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating a motor vehicle collision between a pedestrian and a city transit bus that sent one person to hospital on Sunday evening.

Officers were dispatched to the area of May Street and Dease Street at about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 after receiving reports of the incident.

“The adult female pedestrian was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” police said in a news release.

Driver charged as investigation continues

The driver of the Thunder Bay Transit vehicle has been charged with careless driving.

“The investigation is ongoing,” police said.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dash camera footage of the area at the time to call them at [phone] or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
