A 44-year-old Thunder Bay man has been charged with voyeurism following an investigation by police into a camera planted inside a home in the south end of the city.

Thunder Bay police were alerted Feb. 9 about a possible case of voyeurism.

“During the investigation it was determined that a hidden camera had been installed in a home while a suspect was providing renovation work,” police said in a news release Feb. 10.

Voyeurism charge

“Further investigation led to a suspect being located and arrested.”

The man has been charged with voyeurism and mischief. He was released from custody and will appear in court on a later date.

“The cybercrime unit is involved in the ongoing investigation,” police said.
