Police in Sault Ste. Marie will be on the scene on Trunk Road on Wednesday to continue their investigation into human remains found in the area earlier this week. In a news release, officials said the body was discovered in a wooded section of the road by people walking in the area around 7 p.m. on April 26. “Today, there will be an increased police presence in the area as members of the emergency services unit will be conducting a grid search,” police said. “Detectives with the forensic identification unit and investigation services continue to actively investigate. Further information may be released as it becomes available.”
