OPP seek person of interest in northern Ontario LCBO theft

Ontario Provincial Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in connection with a theft at a liquor store in northern Ontario earlier this month.

The incident occurred at an LCBO location in the community of Spanish, approximately 90 kilometres west of Greater Sudbury along Highway 17.

Surveillance video stills released by the provincial police force in a related social media post indicate the incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Jan. 8.

The individual is described as male, with a medium build, standing 5′5′' tall and weighing approximately 165 lbs or 75kg. Police estimate he is between 30 to 40 years old, with dark shaved hair and a beard.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black jacket, black pants, and a grey hoodie.
