Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a sudden death after a 23-year-old was transported to hospital and later pronounced deceased. Police said they began the death investigation on April 3. OPP said an incident at northern Ontario eatery on March 28 preceded the death. “A disturbance involving multiple individuals at a restaurant in the Town of Bruce Mines occurred,” said police in a news release. The 23-year-old, who is from Desbarats, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Sault Ste. Marie where the individual was pronounced deceased on April 3. Coroner’s office assisting The Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are assisting with the investigation. “A post-mortem examination will take place in Sudbury at a later time,” said police. OPP said the investigation into the death is ongoing. “Updates will be provided when available,” said police.
